Hi, I purchased this Magnatone today and wondered if anyone has any information on what model it is. I believe it is the Melodier model, but I've seen that name used for other magnatones that don't look like this. To tune this guitar you need an allen key. Not a great design but I guess it seems to stay in tune.

You are right about the model, it is a mid '50s Melodier with modified electronics. They stay in tune forever.
Take the back off and fill it with a bath towel to stop wolf notes. They are great to have around and sit on your lap while watching TV, etc. because they are so short.

Yep, the Melodier. Doesn't seem to be much love for these. I enjoy mine. Stays in tune like a champ, getting them in tune takes some patience
