This was the best show I've heard in many years. Justin T. did a
wonderful job with a lot of nice info about Dickey I never knew.
For those that missed it, it will be on again Sunday afternoon.
The scheduled time is 2:00. I think it's CST at least I hope it is.
If you love REAL COUNTRY with FANTASTIC STEEL and VOCALS
don't miss it. You'll most likely never have a chance to hear it again.
Thanks Darrell for the post and thanks Justin T. for a fantastic show. _________________ aka "Lucky Kay"--Custom built Rittenberry SD10 3X5, Walker S/S, NV-112, and Hilton Pedal |

Carl: I have to echo your comments. The music is great with everyone that was anyone in country music.
Justin's show is repeated on Sunday, normally from 2 to 4 pm CST. The first hour of the show is Frankie Miller being interviewed and songs being played by Justin. About 1 hour and 15 mins into the show the Dickey tribute starts and lasts for about an hour and a half. Justin plans to do a longer tribute later. Justin knew Dickey very well and is probably the last person to hear him play steel in his living room (he had not played at all for two and one half years before that). Justin knew and played with a lot of the people who Dickey played for Darrell McCall, Johnny Bush, Jake Hooker and others. |

Justin does his show live each Wednesday evening at 6pm CST from the the studios of KEQX-FM 89.7 in Dublin TX. The show is repeated on the following Sunday starting at 2pm CST.
KEQX-FM can be found on the internet and is great to listen to at other times as they play only traditional country music with heavy emphasis on fiddle and steel......they even play instrumentals!!!!
Check it out folks....you'll be glad you did.....it's the only country station I listen to. _________________ Cremation is my last shot at having a hot body...... |
