Hi All,
After a long respite I'm back. What I need to ask is where should I go to find a decent volume pedal? I live in Dunkirk NY and can't find one anywhere.
Actually I'm looking for a dealer close or otherwise where I can find one. _________________ The only thing better than doing what you love is having someone that loves you enough to let you do it.

I'd buy a used Goodrich over anything you'd find at a Dealer. Since Ollie got sick, I don't think there IS a source for new Goodrich pedals.
Or Stage One makes a dang good and inexpensive pot pedal, with jacks on the sides.
I know you said dealer, but most of the mass-market pedals have the jacks on the front, which doesn't suit our purposes.
If you have more money to throw around, Hilton pedals are excellent.
Here's a mail order dealer who is a Fo'Bro' and who has done and continues to do great things for the steel guitar world

And he carries a satisfaction guarantee, if you don't like it, send it back. He provides stellar service. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Hi Lane,
Thanks for responding. Actually I'm hoping to find a good used pedal at a reasonable price. _________________ The only thing better than doing what you love is having someone that loves you enough to let you do it.

The Stage One sells new for less than the used value of a Goodrich.
You could call or email the usual dealers (Palenscar, Billy Cooper, Frenchy's, Scotty's, Vic Lawson) and see what they have. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Sounds like a good plan. Now where the heck do I find these folks? Now that Bobbe has passed I don't have clue. _________________ The only thing better than doing what you love is having someone that loves you enough to let you do it.

At the top of every page on the forum, there's a link marked "Links."
From that link, you can select "Steel Guitar vendors".
B0b has a list.

R.C., I personally think Lane's advice is very good! I have dealt with Mr. Tom Bradshaw and actually purchased a Goodrich low profile pedal from him with the improved volume pot several years ago and I totally agree that Mr. Bradshaw provides stellar service and always has a reasonable cost on his items. If you should do a search on the forum you will see quickly that he has indeed provided invaluable service and support to all us steelers and the steel guitar world in general. JMHO Good luck, Roger |

RC, I can sell you a Goodrich 120 with a brand new Dunlop pot installed for $130.00 with free postage. The pedal looks new and the pot is new and yet to be installed. I just traded for the pedal and am in process of changing out the pot.
