Here's Dave Alexander and his Big Texas Swing Band on the television program Good Morning Texas posted February 28, 2014 on WFAA.com.
David Wright is the steel player, and what a job he does.
I know y'all will enjoy this one.

Man that was great. You gotta love Western Swing here in Texas. Even though he never took a break, David Wright did a fantastic job playing. This group was the talk of the show in March at the Texas Steel Guitar Jamboree. Thanks George for posting the link for the video. |

Thank's George, It's a great time playing with Dave, A lot of times it's 14 piece band...
I began as a sup for Maurice, who played with Dave for some 25 plus years...I was a fan of Dave's way before I ever met him.He played my kind of music, and had my Hero playing steel..Maurice is on all of his CD's..
Dave's last CD..is the last recordings of Maurice..
No one could take Maurice's place, I still miss him and think of him every time I sit down to a Steel...
Dave won a award for the last CD Alexander's good time band...it was the last time Maurice was recorded...

Hey David:
That CD (Alexanders Band) sounds like something I would really like to have.
Do you have an idea where to purchase one?
I just tried a set of sound cancelling headphones with this video and your guitar just shines through.
All I had before were the laptop speakers.
It makes a real difference when you can hear the steel! _________________ Life in Texas was a blast!

Hey David:
We won't be able to get back to Dallas for some time.
Folks were asking me on My Channel what the info was on the Album, Name etc. so folks could buy one.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Gee Whiz David!
Do I ever love that sound.
I guess I had never heard Reece play with anyone before.
Now I understand why you told me he was "The Man."
I sure wish I had known him longer than the few times we met at the end of his life.
I am so lucky to have had him as an instructor even though it was only 4 lessons.
Thank you so much for the songs. _________________ Life in Texas was a blast!
