The memories of my neighborhood music career at the age of 14 in Mr.Cosimo Matassa's Studio was a special history for me.He help a lot of us local musicians kids the art & sound of what music should sound like. From the like of Mr. Fats Domino,Jerry Lee Lewis,Little Richard,Jimmy Clanton and some of us New Orleans own " The Tokens ". He helped us all with " All South Record Dist." to sell our little old 45rpm. He was 88 the day he died. He took New Orleans to Heaven with him. RIP Mr.Matessa & God Bless your family. Yes it is true that " Paul Varisco " was once the lead singer of the New Orleans,Louisiana touring group the " Tokens " Band. Paul put his own band together after the Tokens fell apart. His band was called " Paul Varisco & The Milestones ". The neighborhood history of local musicians in our days are not there by Off Beat Magazine. To days world of the Music Industry Business makes up what they feel is History to them who are running that table of power to who makes them money. They don't make folks anymore like the real days of Mr.Cosimo Matassa,Cliffie Stone,Stan Ross,John Phillips,Buck Owens,Tex Clark and son many more.RIP! Winking Uncle Leo J Eiffert Jr the SWAMPWATER FOX.
