Stephen, once you tear off the packaging you will be delighted at the sight of the little masterpiece. Then after scrubbing your picks over the strings the sound will send you to heaven and back. EVERY BEST WISH and I'M SURE YOU WILL BE IN PERPETUAL JOY. JAMES TAYLOR Smile Smile Smile

You definitely won't want to go back to work tomorrow! Confused

In the morning that sick day will look mighty tempting. Laughing

Just curious, but what's with the small engine starter rope that seems to be coming out of the little box. Is that the new gas-powered model??

OK Steven, you know the forum has an unwritten rule that "he who gets a net guitar must post pictures of said guitar"... the box won't do...

Ok..Ok..Ok... I get the hint! I have been busy the last few days just getting everything set up and trying to play this darn thing. It's much more overwhelming than I imagined but I know that I will eventually get it. Very Happy Pics coming soon. I've got to get my mess of a music room cleared up first. Whoa!

Doug Earnest informed me my wood grain 4x5 Zum Encore would be ready to ship this week. I also ordered the new foot volume pedal. Thanks Doug. I will be showing it off at a couple of Opry Shows I am working.

Nice! That Red looks pretty sweet. Are you playing through a Fender Vibrolux or is that a Super Sonic?
Thanks,
Dan

It's the Custom Vibrolux Reverb. So far, in my 12x12 music room/office, it sounds pretty good. But I'll have to reserve judgement until I get it out with the band.

Suggest care be taken putting anything sticky on that finish. I made the mistake of putting a sticker on a Tobacco Gibson 335. When I took the sticker off, it had caused a 'stippling' and roughed up the finish.
Better a thin strip of card that just lays against the fretboard - and anyway, you'll soon have learned where the notes are, given the amount of seat time that little beauty deserves!
Good luck and enjoy the ride!

Doug called this morning and informed me the wood grain Zum Encore 4x5 and volume pedal will be shipped tomorrow. The cheque is in the post as they say across the pond.

Alan that looks like froggy tape (painters tape) which is made specially to be taken off without pulling or leaving any residue.

It won't hurt the formica covering of a Stage One if you put tape or stickers on it. Just be careful what you use for solvent when you take them off. Mineral spirits is a safe bet and some products such as Goof Off do a good job. High pressure laminate is some pretty tuff stuff, but not indestructible.

If you have any guitar with a lacquer finish such as a Gibson 335 or a Sho Bud or ZumSteel you should be very careful using any kind of solvent at all. I understand peanut butter and some other organic things can remove the adhesive residue safely from the lacquer finish.
