They tend to sound great, they are reasonably priced, they look great and Jerry is a good guy and always available to answer questions. Not the only guitar I play, but I like them a lot. |

I've had a couple of them. Very good guitars. I like the tone with a 710 on them. Only thing that bothered me was, they set up a little higher than other guitars. |

I own a gorgeous lacquer D10 built in about 2002, which i've owned for 6 months or so.
The great tone Doug Jernigan and Peewee Charles got with the fessy is what drew me to the brand.
My sense was, and remains that Fessy's have a midrange honk to their 'natural' tone, and whether that materializes depends a lot on the pickup, amp and speaker.
This guitar came with George L EONS, which I believe are mid scoopy pickups, so the combination is very 'neutral' and clear as a bell. This is probably as good as match as any for most musician's tastes, but I will probably go with more mid present pickups if I ever dare gig with this far too pretty to gig with guitar.
I also own an MSA U12 and a 1974 Shobud D10 Pro 2, love them all, for different reasons.
I think Bob Blair hit the positives dead on. As Baxter notes, my fessy sits high too, which I like for better ergonomics on the top side, but it's everything I can do to reach the vertical levers - i'll have to make something to address that. |

Jerry will make your guitar any height you want. Mine is 1.5 inches under. Easy enough to shorten the legs and rods of a used one. Good mechanics and GREAT tone. |

there is something terribly wrong with that train of thought!
....unless you never intended on performing in front of people... |

Chris: I gig with my MSA...stage shot in the 12 string thread.
The Fessy has a flamed maple 'gold burst' top and what I think are rosewood aprons with gold foil border s...so you understand where i'm coming from. |

I've owned two, and have played probably a dozen or so. My favorite thing about them was that they always sounded better on a record than what I thought I was hearing while recording.
This one was done on my first fessy (a rosewood S10 with half pad) before I learned how to play. I have to credit the guitar for any good sounds that may have occurred. http://youtu.be/uAHR7_VZdRw |

Nope. That's as silly a notion as a car too pretty to drive on the road. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects |

Lol...someday, when you guys start underwriting 'steel guitar collision insurance', I may consider it...(or when a suitably formal venue arises). |
