here they are. i bought this amp from a guy who did not know much about it. he advertised it as a mojotone build. 4/10 tweed bassman. circuit board is red phenolic looking with eyelets. not black fiber card looking. there are no serial numbers stamped on the chassis. i am starting to think that this might be a fender reissue that someone has removed the printed fender board and installed a hand wired board. any thoughts?? also i did find four small holes on the upper back panel where some kind of plate was removed.
you can see the number on the choke coil also. |

here is a pic of the upper back panel that covers the tubes/innards. you can see the small holes where something was attached. also inside the amp, there is some kind of fender stamp in ink. squarish and faint but for sure says fender. no tube chart.

Bill, I've never seen a Fender amp transformer with that kind of label. My charts don't show either of those numbers, so I'd guess someone just made phoney Fender labels and stuck them on. This does happen occasionally, as some buyers seem "impressed" by seeing famous names like "Fender". I'm involved in collecting art objects, and it happens there, too. Some sellers will "spice up" unknown/unmarked pieces with bogus famous name labels or stickers so they'll bring higher prices. |

ok. sent a note to fender customer service and got this note back. looks like they are real fender parts. so my guess is that someone took the original fender reissue bassman and removed the dreaded printed circuit board that all the vintage geeks hate, and replaced it with an old school eyelet board that is actually not like the original, but is indeed point to point hand wired.
Hey Bill,
From what I can see these are real! I ran the Part Number that is pictured on both and they both came up as "BASSMAN XFMR" in my parts search.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
