Carroll Satterfield is in charge of the meeting on the 7th. He hasn't totally confirmed his presence but he hasn't said he won't be there either. Carroll normally plays a Dobro and although he can play pedal steel and has one, usually plays his double neck Fender non pedal. We'll see what he has up his sleeve for the 7th.

Same time, same place, but Carroll Satterfield won't be there, so I will be in charge of the meeting. Hope we do a lot of playing and have some great discussion on technique.

Besides playing, we are going to have a discussion on amps, speakers. etc. pertaining to the steel guitar.
If time allows, we may also talk about some music theory as applied to the pedal steel.

Had a great day. Only had 6 players, but they were all good ones. That's not to say that any of our members are bad players, but we had some of the top ones there today. Larry Goodwin did his great job on the lead guitar and Joe Finley got on the drums and helped out.
I did a session on amplifiers that seemed to be accepted nicely. Interesting how we all use one but so few really know about the parts of an amp, how it works and how to adjust it.
Next month, Harold Van Brunt is in charge of the meeting. We look forward to you being there.
