The record was produced by Aubrey Mayhew of Lil' Darlin' records fame. That is the label Lloyd played all the great pedal steel guitar parts on the early Johnny Paycheck hits. Also, a couple Lloyd Green instrumental albums. The Lil' Darlin' label went under, but I'm thinking this may have been another label Mayhew started and I think its safe to say that it is Lloyd Green playing on this record. Maybe Lloyd will see this and fill us in on the details.

I was just thinking, that they were inspired by the Roger Corman movie "The Trip". Anyway, great track.

Lloyd did an entire album of patriotic songs titled "Day For Decision" which was released on Little Darling records about that time. Panic was on the album, along with The Star-Spangled Banner, Dixie, and a number of other familiar patriotic songs. I found the album in a department store bargain bin when I was just a kid, and have played it on July 4th ever since.

L.A. Wunder, that's awesome. I found "Day For Decision" in a thrift shop nearby and every once in a while on a national holiday I'll put it on, too. The first day I got it, my wife started singing along to all the patriotic songs, she remembered every word she learned as a kid. It's one of those albums we put on for fun, but there is some seriously good steel work there. I love Lloyd's playing. To me, he's the Big Pappa.
