I started using Curt Mangan brand strings on my guitars last year. They are very lively, expressive and seem to have good staying power. I was going to try a set on steel but just never got around to it until I got so fed up with these ghs strings, I ordered up a couple of E9 sets. I had to back off each pedal and knee that stretched a wound string because they all went too far. They have, in effect reduced pedal travel noticably.

Curt Mangan Strings. Now on both Teles, the SG, the Taylor, the jazz box and the MSA.
Can't beat 'em with a stick.

I liked them, but found the .038s broke after about 15 hours

I had put them on my marlen, right after I got it...had no issues to speak of, that I recall. I'd use them again.

After talking with Jerry Newberry at the Steel show
in Irving a few years ago I bought some to try
out. I agree with every thing that has been said.
If they have Jerry & Austin Newberry & Jerry Rollers name on them they have to be good......
REAL GOOD
