The CMA Music Festival is on TV tonight. I noticed an advertisement that the theme is "Country's Night To Rock". Rock on!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing

Well, let's see - I noticed lots of leather, black clothing (T-shirts, especially), tattoos, earrings (on men), baseball caps forward and backward, at least one neon mohawk, raspy and growled lyrics...

Couple guys playing(?) bottleneck slide, but I didn't see or hear any steel before I shut it off. Maybe there was some later, I didn't feel like waitin' around. Confused

All in all, I didn't get the point. Was there one?

I don't know if this actually considered a point or not, but it was billed as "Country's Night to ROCK". What did you expect? I didn't see it, but I wonder how much of it was actually different than their regular stage show. Lol

There were a few steels onstage-Denny Hemingson's Emmons was onstage with Tim McGraw, although Denny was playing dobro, Dave Ristrim's Carter was onstage with Luke Bryan, but Dave was also playing guitar, I'm guessing Chris Cline was playing a Sho-Bud Maverick type steel with Miranda and Carrie, Randle Currie's Franklin was onstage with Brad Paisley, Kevin Post was playing his Zumsteel D-10 with Blake Shelton, Tim Sergent was playing his Jackson Blackjack Custom with Dierks, I'm pretty sure Travis Toy and his Mullen was onstage with Gary LeVox, Joe Don Rooney, and Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts
