Topic: Thinking about selling one of my P/P's |

Hey guys, I'm thinking about selling or trading one of my push pulls to get a newer all pull Emmons. What do y'all think? Anybody else have one of each type? Pro's and cons of one over the other?

Got one of each... '67 P/P and an '88 Legrande. I've had the P/P just over a year and the Legrande about 3 years.
Sound: I think the P/P probably sounds the best of the two. The Legrande has E66's and it sounds good, but different.
Stability/Tuning: both are rock solid.
Ease of setup/change: Legrande wins, easily.
Playibility: Both are great, I tend to prefer the P/P as I get more used to it. My P/P was a Cass guitar, so it's always been setup correctly, a key factor in enjoying a P/P so I hear.

All pull guitars come and go, but my '69 will have a plot next to mine in the cemetary.
I know I would regret selling mine -- I think you would too. There are many great all pull guitars out there, but, for SOME REASON, a lot of folks still make a lot of fuss about those clanky, noisy old push pulls that sound better than anything else on the planet

Thanks guys, I love my 71 rosewood fatback dearly so that would be the one that I would keep. The Black 1982 that use to belong to Tommy White is a GREAT guitar and it's in better shape and has a few more bells and whistles but for some reason, the rosewood just feels more like "home". Does one sound better than the other? No, how ever they are 2 different guitars, and sound slightly different. I guess I'm just more attached to Rosey  |
