Remember the puppet Shotgun Red from Ralph Emery's TV show? I named my recently completed guitar after him. It's a 24.5" scale, 8 string console guitar, which I built from Georgeboard's kit components. The exceptional body blank just begged to have a transparent-stained clear coat finish and I chose red. The clear coat is Behlin nitrocellulose lacquer (8 coats). It has an Alumitone pick up and it sounds great through my Roland Cube 80 amp. It is tuned C6. I also made a raised fret board for it from a plank of maple I had handy. George provided a lot of valuable help and advice during this build and it was certainly a pleasure dealing with him - thanks George! I'm also working on a second fret board for this guitar. It is figured Rosewood and will have decorative inlays for the card symbols.
