So, I plug the USB cable from my computer into my Pod (which used to belong to Eric West), with the earphones off, and there is a single, loud pop. There is no longer any light in the LED display panel, though all the individual control lights seem to respond to the controls. No sound in the phones.
I think this is missing, presumed dead, and almost certainly not worth paying to repair. Any dissenting opinions? |

Look for a POD X3 to replace it. They are no longer made but a better POD XT. I had a POD XT and went to the X3 and much better. The XT "Tones" can be used in the X3.
The newer POD HD, also discontinued, was a flop (personally). I got one and tried it, I couldn't use my XT/X3 tones, after programming equivalents into the HD, they were poor compared to the XT/X3. The HD also changed the tone/body of the steel signal where the XT/X3 did not. After a couple of weeks with the HD I returned it. If I used the POD HD with distortion, the tone change would not have been noticed or a problem. |
