I would have enjoyed that much more with a lot less drums, and maybe some rim shot occasionally. Sounds like a country band with a pop/rock drummer. Am I the only one who hears it this way?

Tommy is something, isn't he? Personal preference on the drums, I guess. When I was still doing that, when the singer started, I went to the rim most of the time. |

Ditto on that. Tommy is an outstanding player. I guess I got used to hearing it Charlie doing it on the Opry for all these years and I never remember the drums being so out in front to the rest of the music.
Roger - if you say rim shot, that's good enough for me. You're on of my favs!
