Hello,

I'm listing this locally on WDC CL for
"$1550 obo", but am listing it here in case someone's interested. I live in
W.Hyattsville, the amp is at the tube tech's (Leroy at High Voltage)in Baltimore, about three blocks from Penn Station.

I mean "best offer", I don't want to ship
this but I will if you talk to me first,
better yet, visit the shop and try it
out.

In any event:

Fender Blackface 1966 Pro Reverb

Just professionally tested, tweaked, re-capped, etc. (a couple of Friday's ago), everything works as it should. Also replaced tremelo part, put on 3 prong plug. Includes foot switch, probably original, but who knows? I don't.

Cosmetics (except for the grill cloth, see photo) are about 95%. Small amount
of rust on the stands.

SN# A 04659, "Amp AA165"

Production 15 (IS? will take picture of tube chart later.)

In between the back of the amp, and the reverb tank, the bottom
panel is stamped "F110766"

Working non-original speakers work fine as is. One is a Pyle (MH12 C290), other has nothing left on it to identify it, but looks period correct.

Best to use the phone, leave message if I'm not here. "Best offer" means what it says, the worst I can do is say no.

Thanks again,

Steve

Hello,

I forgot to add, it does have what we think
is the original foot switch.

Thanks again,

Steve

I didn't write down the codes, I think
one's an oxford, but they don't match and the labels are worn off, so I'm assuming that neither are the original speakers. They both "look" as old as the amp, but unless someone's had the amp since around that time (not me!) someone could have switched them out anyway. Will check via email Tuesday.

Thanks again for asking,

Steve

We think one's a Pyledriver (MH12C290),
the other has nothing left on it to tell
you what it is. Just working generic speakers.

I have a pair of never used or installed
Celestion V12-60 8 ohm "Silver Series" that
I bought when the local music warehouse
(Veneman's in Rockville?) sold out, that I might include with this, but the tech says
that most people would want Jensens. Like the ad says, best offers will be entertained.

Thanks again,
Steve

Our lead guitar player has a same vintage Pro Reverb amp (he has 3 but this is the best one and the one he uses). It has Pyle Driver speakers, that were added as "after market". It originally came with Jensen's.

Just to be clear, a Pre-CBS amp would be a Fender amp manufactured before January of 1965 when CBS bought Fender...The Pro Reverb came out in 1965 and thus there are no Pre-CBS models (which would date to 1964..)

My first amp. Converted to a JBL130-4 with my Bolt-on Emmons. Looking back the best sounding combo I ever had. Sold it for $200 (kept the speaker) in the early 70's. Been deathly sick ever since. Sad

One thing that gets me, is that anyone could
just use one of these, or a twin, etc., to
power a separate 15" cabinet, and get the
best of both worlds. But that must have been
a great combo!
