Is there a way that you can open an MP3 backing track in BIAB and change the key? I would like to change the key from C to A. I tried opening it in BIAB and it plays fine, but I don't seem to have any control over changing anything in it.

That's because regular BIAB files are MIDI and not a wav or MP3.

What Jack says, which leaves you a couple of choices:

Get yourself a music editing program like Audacity and change the key of the mp3 in it

Try using the chord wizard in BIAB to bring the tune into BIAB. It works but really doesn't do that good a job.

The last thing you can do is, if you have a chord chart or know the chords of the tune, make your own BIAB version in whatever key you want.

Of course, you could also pose the question asking if somebody already has the song you want done in a BIAB file.

Graham, I like your suggestion. I'm looking for San Antonio Rose in the key of A. I wish I was able to make one of my own. Not there yet. Maybe one day......I hope. Thanks.

Why not just take about two minutes and download a free karaoke player, load your mp3, put the song in whatever key/tempo you want, and play?

If you need the mp3 also, there's probably lots of versions of most any song out there too.

For biab, Andy Sandoval has a biab file of SAR that I'm certain he'd share with you. Put it in any key you want.
