OK, I know the question most will ask is "WHY!?" but is there such a creature (or has anyone fashioned one themselves out of a SD-10) as an E9 PSG combined with a D8 non-peddal on the back neck?

I ask, because I've play my Stringmasters pretty much exclusively for the last dozen or so years, and just took up PSG about a year and a half ago. There are gigs where I want BOTH sounds, but loathe the schlep and all that extra set up time (not to mention all the extra real estate on stage that takes up) A set up as mentioned above could be pretty useful to someone like me.

I know they make D-10's with a C6 neck on the back, but that's a different sound. I prefer to play with slants on C6, and want the tone of the Stringmaster (or a Dual Pro) as that other option.

Anyone ever seen or built a setup like this?

Excel built at least one. It was for sale at Scotty's in St. Louis a long while back.

I have a Shobud Crossover that I use as a 5P-2KL E9 universal-style front neck and a non-pedal G6 back neck. Works pretty well for me!

My Crossover is a 23" scale, so it is easier to slant on.
