Carvin Pedal Steel Guitars

I recently played a lap steel I had built a number of years ago using a 10 string Carvin pickup. I bought the pickup from Carvin about 40 years ago, and have used it on several guitars I have built over the years. As I remember, Carvin offered a line of pedal steel guitars at that time. They used a cable system that appeared similar to those being used by Fender. I rarely, if ever, see any of these steels for sale on the Forum or on Ebay. I wonder if anyone still plays one of these gems, and if any current or former owners could comment on them.

I find it interesting that Carvin pedal steels are being discussed at all.

I meant this to be a new post. I was curious as to see if there are still any of them around, and how they stacked up to other guitars of their day.
