A special event for the San Antonio Steel guitar association to support the Wounded Warriors Family Center at Fort Sam Houston. In conjunction with the China Grove Trading Post we are having a "Happening" Sunday, July 13 with a delightful mix of western swing, bluegrass, and progressive country bands playing from 1 to 5, longer if there is interest. The San Antonio Steel guitar association, the Ledbetters, Made in Texas, and the Southern Strangers will entertain you with perhaps some surprise acts. Lip-licking-wipe-it-on-your-sleeve barbeque will be available, so wear a long sleeve shirt! The address is Trading Post, 7373 US 87 East, China Grove, 78263 and Kenny Piper (210) 240-5381 can give you more details. |

This sounds like a load of fun! I've heard lots of good things about the Trading Post. Also, I've always wanted to see the Ledbetters, Made in Texas, and the Southern Strangers! Good food, good music, good golly! See you there! _________________ Proud member of the San Antonio Steel Guitar Association (www.facebook.com/satxsga) |

Okay, folks. what a time to be had by all. I want to say thank you to all the participants of the San Antonio Steel Guitar Assoc. A special thank you to Steven Cowell for coming from Round Rock, Texas, on your Harley, with your fry pan to play with us. The fundraiser was a great success! Hopefully we will be there for the jam in Austin next Sunday if no hick-ups. |

Saw the video on KENS-TV on Sunday evening....they mentioned an event sponsored by the San Antonio Guitar Association and showed a whole 10 seconds of video....what a bummer for such a noble effort!! _________________ Cremation is my last shot at having a hot body...... |

Thanks, Mike, for your comment. We sure had a lot of fun doing this event for our troops and we are excited we got media attention our first go around. Sorry you missed it. Maybe next time. Rose Sinclair is our feature guest in August. Hope to see you there. |
