One of the best vocalists that I've ever heard and possibly the least recognized individual in the country music field.........is CLYDE MOODY.
He recorded on KING label and JERRY BYRD was one of his more prominent steel guitar players. King always put out some of the best sounding steel guitar
sounds as presented on this post.
"If You Only Knew" is without doubt one of the finest
examples of how great Jerry's olde Rickenbacher sounded. See what you think.

i got to play (for a while) Clyde's old 40's Martin D-28 (with the big pickguard) - what an incredible guitar that was.
there was a lot of good music made on that old Martin _________________ '65 Sho-Bud D-10 Permanent • '54 Fender Dual-8 • Clinesmith T-8 • '38 Ric Bakelite • '92 Emmons D-10 Legrande II |

Clyde was the most powerful rhythm guitarist I ever played with. Once he set his groove, no sorry drummer was going to drag him down. Better than that, he was a real gentleman. I loved his singing. _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Fender Twin Tone Master, Session 400, Harlow Dobro, R.Q.Jones Dobro |
