This is amazing:

I just got back from a week of gigs in NYC and had a bunch of very unlikely people coming up and asking about my steel. Then explaining to there buddies what the pedalsteel was. They knew plenty about how the instrument worked and were way into it. It started making sense to me when I saw the Friday Night Knicks thing. _________________ Bob |

Erv Two of those honeys and a cold drink of water Might Kill you deader than a stone. Even worse it would take 5 Undertakers and Three Plastic Surgeons to get the silly Grin off your face. . |

I don't follow the NBA any more, but I'm pretty certain the Knicks need more help than a steel guitar and a couple of cheerleaders. |

Yeh, a horn section would help _________________ A banjo, like a pet monkey, seems like a good idea at first. |

It’s pretty cool how millions of people are now regularly seeing a pedalsteel being played in an iconic and exciting role. It’s making a real impact if my experience with local nyc audiences is an indicator. I used to only get the occasional beaten down old wall st guy wandering up to tell me that Jerry Garcia played one of those.
In Texas the standard comment usually is something like “ oh man , a pedalsteel! Nobody plays those anymore ! “ _________________ Bob |

Robert did the stand on your stool and play thing at his 4th of July show here in Portland.
I haven't tried it yet myself!
What a great success story for Pedal Steel |

He really only needs one string!
He broke a string on a Melobar looking axe that he was playing a rippin solo on, and it didn't seem to phase him one bit. |
