Thanks for pointing that one out.
Check out his solo at the end of this one with the Whites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBKQdnvzZBs
No one else comes up with stuff this cool. That 82 push-pull just sings with those older 705 pickups! _________________ http://www.endtime.com/

Yea, thanks for posting, these blokes are all pro's.
Would have liked to see them all in South Africa, all dressed up and playing well.
Does Mike have Emmons and Show Pro coups?
I am jealous now.
Wow!

Mike's tone (for me) is what a steel should sound like, Just a GREAT player, on both necks!!!!!!
and remember, a lot of it is in his Hands... |

Here here - agree with everything you say David. However, I can tell you that Mike goes to the extreme to get THAT tone. Its no fluke - he is so totally into getting a warm and rich tone that anything that thins down his sound is disregarded. _________________ Show Pro D10 - amber (8+6), MSA D10 Legend XL Signature - redburst (9+6), Sho-Bud Pro 111 Custom (8+6), Emmons black Push-Pull D10 (8+5), Zum D10 (8x8), Hudson pedal resonator. Will Oldham, working under the name "Bonnie Prince Billy" released the album, "Greatest Place Music" where he re-does some of his older songs using Nashville session musicians. One of them being Mike Johnson. On almost every song there seems to be a gem of steel guitar playing. Always amazing, never grandstanding.
