A question for a thumb picker out there. Have you
tried the Seagull Maritime guitar with 1.8 inch
nut bridge? What about it?
thanks,
Bill

I have the Coastline S6 which has the same nut width. I don't know about the picking hand, but I like the slightly wider nut width for my fretting hand. If you play with your thumb you might like the wider string spacing.

I'm not sure of the model of my Seagull A/E guitar but on the tag inside it says "Maritime SWS CW SG Q1" ... I got it about 8 or 9 months ago and it's become my #1 acoustic guitar in that time. I also have an old Gibson J-50 and a '68 Ovation who've been put on the back burner since I got the Seagull. I'm impressed with the pickup system also as it really brings out the acoustic properties as well as any other guitar I've heard.. I'm also a thumb picker and huge Merle Travis fan and try to do justice to a lot of his tunes and this guitar does great..........JH in Va.
