A question for a thumb picker out there. Have you
tried the Seagull Maritime guitar with 1.8 inch
nut bridge? What about it?
thanks,

I have the Coastline S6 which has the same nut width. I don't know about the picking hand, but I like the slightly wider nut width for my fretting hand. If you play with your thumb you might like the wider string spacing. _________________ Sho-Bud Pro III + Marshall JMP 2204 half stack = good grind! |

I'm not sure of the model of my Seagull A/E guitar but on the tag inside it says "Maritime SWS CW SG Q1" ... I got it about 8 or 9 months ago and it's become my #1 acoustic guitar in that time. I also have an old Gibson J-50 and a '68 Ovation who've been put on the back burner since I got the Seagull. I'm impressed with the pickup system also as it really brings out the acoustic properties as well as any other guitar I've heard.. I'm also a thumb picker and huge Merle Travis fan and try to do justice to a lot of his tunes and this guitar does great..........JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |
