Carson Chamberlain was Keith's steel player. He played a Franklin pedabro. His pedabro was different than the other pedabros Paul Franklin Sr. built because it had the standard pedabro neck, along with an E9th steel neck. Carson is now a songwriter and has written quite a few hit songs for many great country artists

When I played with Marty Haggard, I always looked forward to playing this song on his set. Keith was such a special singer.

yeah..i played it alot with scott joss. he's merle's fiddle player and harmony singer, and a great singer in his own right.
boy, keith's version there is 'really' slow, aint it...

I like it better when he did it at first. With J.D. Crowe on baritone (I can't recall who sang tenor).
