Hello once again, my fellow steelers,
It is strange but wonderful to acknowledge, the amount of e-mails I have been receiving, concerning the amount of videos that a lot of, I guess what one would call "fans" that just discovered the amount of videos on You Tube, and this forum, that have been a great encouragement to me,for this style of steel playing. To them, and yourselves, I thank you so much.
Here is another one of those hidden gems again. Be blessed.
Ron

As someone who, like you, builds up his own backing tracks, I'm appreciating the whole ensemble. Your lead on the steel is excellent, but also is that great bass that fits so well. Everything is so well timed that one would think that the backing was being played simultaneously, but one has to remember that when you were recording the rhythm and the bass you didn't have the lead to listen to like we do now; you had to imagine it in your head.
I take an easier route by recording the lead first, with just a drum track, then adding the other instruments later, and finally replacing the drum track with live percussion. Of course, if you're going to video tape yourself playing lead that course is not open to you.
It all goes to show what a good all-round musician you are. Keep it up, Ronnie. It's no wonder you have so many fans listening to you over the internet. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

Hello My dear friends,
I`m sorry to be so late in responding to all the super great encouraging comments that all of you have given, but since Microsoft stopped giving their support, I have had, an "almost" terrible loss, of "all" the work that I had recorded, and a complete loss of programs, and files, of other things on the computer. But I was able to recover "all", of my efforts by rebuilding my entire operating system, and it`s functions thereby. It wasn`t easy, and there are still a few bugs in it but I expect to work it all out. A tremendous "Thanks", to all that patiently waited until I could get back on line. Don`t ask what happened, except to say, watch out for the "virus traps" on the internet, they "are" out there! To all of you, who commented, and those who read, or listened to my videos, may God bless you all. "Thanks Again"!

Ronnie, I don't know how those people who create those maliscious viruses sleep at night. They launch their viruses and they wreck people's life works. If the viruses get into hospital databases they can actually kill people, and, believe it or not, there are actually gremlins out there who hack into military computers. If society ever comes crashing to a halt it will be as a result of the internet. Like all things, it can be used for good or bad.
Anyway, I'm glad to see that you've overcome it. Your lack of posts were beginning to give me concern that you might be ill. Keep up the good work, my friend. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

Al! (Brookes)
My dear ole friend. Thanks for looking out for me. Like the song says, "Thats what friends are for". You are so right, when we see so much demonic forces at work in the hearts of these wicked people, that do nothing but try to harm the abilities of good people. Well, this is one person that will never give in to their efforts. As I have said, I have not worked all the "bugs" out yet in my computer, but, I will! Thanks for your support, friendship, and encouragement, you are truly a friend. Warmest of greetings to the family. I`ll be in touch! Be blessed my ole friend.
