I thought they would all be gone by now, but I still have several boxes full of them sitting in my garage.

The price is $17.50. $15 (not 125 as I accidentally originally wrote, Embarassed ) for the DVD and $2.50 for mailing expenses.

The story, for those who don't already know it, is that Chalker gave 2 concerts in December of 1986, both of which were videotaped. One was at Scotty’s Christmas Party in St Louis. The other was here in California, at a club owned be a man named Jack Lox. Scotty still has his tapes, but Jack’s tapes were lost when he passed away. Fortunately, he allowed me to make a copy. Had he not done so, this footage would have been lost forever. Consequently, for a while I had the only copy of the video.

I felt, and still feel, that this footage was too important to be lost, and felt it was my obligation to the steel guitar community to preserve it. So I had DVD made and pressed up 1,000 copies.

I hope some of you who don't already have the DVD will order one. and those of you who are unfamiliar with Chalker check out who he was and what he did.

Using "contextual interpretation", I'm guessing that's a typo and the DVD itself is $15.

Yes, I meant write $15.00, I absolutely have to start wearing my galsses when I post. Embarassed

Of course, if anybody wants to pay $125 I'll gladly accept your money. Laughing

But yes, Curly was one of the greatest steel guitarists ever, (And thanks for confirming that, Billy.) Those of you who are unfamiliar with his music ought to check him out.

Here are 2 clips from the DVD on You Tube. I don't know who posted them.

Mike, I've had the DVD for a few years now and enjoy it every time I place it into the player/computer. Just to watch Curly, Johnny Davis, Bobby Caldwell and the rest make such great music to listen to.
Thank you for going to the expense and trouble to make this available to us.
It's a great buy at $17.50 or $50.00. You can't book Curly, Bobby and Johnny anymore.

Hi Barry. I started out with 1,000. That was 7 or 8 years ago.

I really expected them to all be gone by now.

Hey, Mike, I don't know if you've thought of it, but you might try an ongoing "store" type listing on Ebay showing "more than 10 available"... you will probably reach a lot of players worldwide who either don't know of the Forum or don't get here often. I've been very surprised by the number of players I've run into through Ebay who don't visit the SGF at all.

Anyone with any interest in Chalker's style, or fine jazz or swing steel really needs to own this.
