I remember seeing an interview that Buddy has in a scrapbook, from a Nashville paper, from the 60's or 70's, where he talks about sometime in the future being able to play the steel just by thinking about it. Well, maybe that future is close at hand.
I saw this article today, which reminded me of his insight: http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/science-fiction-come-true-moving-a-paralyzed-hand-with-the-power-of-thought/2014/06/23/13c9ac88-f8a1-11e3-a606-946fd632f9f1_story.html?hpid=z1 .
Buddy also speaks of (not in the article) practicing by thinking about the lick or the move. "there's another crease on the cerebellum".

Only a total hack would eat Cheetos on a session. No, Buddy had Cheez-Its. Smile
