Hello all - I'm a new member here and a total NEWB to lap steel. To tell the truth I only play (and build) 6 string guitars, but I have been asked by a local musician to build a lap steel (wood) based on the Ric frying pan. Does anyone know the diameter and thickness of the body? Any help would be appreciated! |

That's a nice looking guitar, Peter, but it doesn't answer his questions.
Could you please provide the dimensions of your guitar? _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

I did not provide the sizes as yet because the OP and his client might want
the sizes of the metal guitar version and not the wooden guitar version. |

Thank you Brad and Peter. To tell you the truth, I was not aware that there is a difference between the metal and the wood versions. I'd like to know what they both are though if folks have those dimensions. |

I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to frame up a copy of this for the music room. Probably the close I'll ever come to owning the real deal! _________________ Professional Accordionist, Amateur Steel Guitarist. |
