Can't help with the multi bender, and I don't know what type of sound you'd like to get that you're not getting with the current pickup.

More information, please.

My only tip on this is: When you get the pickup re-wound have the guy "tap" the pickup in at least 3 places. That way you will have a lot more tonal options at your disposal.

Brad I think I'm looking for a deeper richer sound. The Gretsch has a single coil. Maybe a humbucker. I like those Rickenbacker pickups but not going to fit.

When looking for a pickup, keep in mind that the Dusenberg has a fairly wide F string spacing. For a drop in replacement, you might measure the existing route and check with someone like Vintage Vibe that can do custom winds / builds if needed.

I put a Duesenberg Multibender on my Gretsch two years ago. Wasn't a problem at all. Fits like a glove Very Happy
