I have an '84 OMI squareneck Dobro. It plays/sounds great but I rarely use it. It originally was 10-string

But I had it converted to 8-string

As the strings were too close together for me.

The conversion's easily reversible, have all components. It has a VGC OHSC. I'm looking into parting with it, appreciate any/all thoughts on value.
Thanks in advance,
Jim

If you're looking for an appraisal, I'd suggest Gruhn Guitars in Nashville. It's really hard to guess at a value based on that one photo.

There's an earlier 8 string conversion Dobro® available through Retrofret, currently offered for $1600. There aren't a lot of these out there, but then again not a lot of people are looking for them.

I'd not found that one on Gbase. I was in Retrofrets a month ago, didn't see it then either. Thanks mucho for this good point of reference, Brad!
