Goodrich Sup.Sustain 7-A effect distorts ??

My Goodrich Mod. 7-A S.S. unit started to distort real bad !! Two new batts. did not help !! Does anybody know who made these and how to contact him and could it be repaired or will I have to replace the unit ?? It worked real well until recently. check all solder joints and battery snaps.mine quit and turned out to be a loose wire .willie sims
