This 80's Zumsteel 8X7 is in very good condition. I bought it ten years ago from Wanda Burd wife of Jefferson City, MO steeler Smokie Burd who had passed away a year or so earlier. It has George L's pickups: E-66 on the front and 10-1 on the back. It is Day setup with the E's on the left knee. It has a few bar dings on the necks and some surface scratches on the mica. There is a 1/4" scratch on the endplate under the key head which could probably be buffed out. The pedal bar has scratches mostly from my volume pedal bracket. The case is in very good condition. I called Bruce Zumsteg about the guitar when I was on my way to MO to pick it up. He said Smokie had send it to him not long before he passed away to have the horizontal knee lever installed and some general maintenance done. I've always said I would never sell it but I bought the blue Zum off forum member Chris Bauer when he had it listed 3-4 weeks ago and it set me back $4K. However, I will not be unhappy if it doesn't sell as I'm making an effort to keep peace in the family! $3400 shipped to the lower 48 only. No trades please. Paypay ok if the buyer pays the 3.1% fee.

That's the wraparound neck too, I think they sound the best. Congrats Dan on a nice ax.

Henry, that also looks like one of the models that had the spacers between the fingers in the changer that were pulled up against the wood body with springs. That gave the changer axle contact with the body of the guitar, I reassembled an 84 like that for a friend of mine. He bought it from the widow of a guy who had taken it apart and passed away before he put it back together. Those are great sounding guitars.
