ok i did it again i'm redoing a old msa classic d-10 for a student and i forgot to check the scale of it before i took it apart. does anybody know if it's 24 or 241/4 scale....thanks

I answered your post in Buy and Sell too. I'm pretty sure it's 24". Since you have the guitar apart, you can tell for sure by measuring the fretboard from the 12th to the 24th fret. It will be exactly 6" for a 24" scale. For a 24 1/4" scale that distance will be 6 1/16". [This message was edited by Jim Smith on 10 December 2002 at 10:00 PM.] |

thanks guys i brought one neck home to show the student on how this neck was screwed up. as the gentleman who owned it before tried to install a 705 and routered through the side of the neck and covered it up with formica. anyways i measured where the fret board was and i can't be sure ...so...the good news is the roller nuts and the changer both bolt to each end of the neck so i'll measure it properly when i get to the shop tonight and will post this guitars scale on the thread i have in the buy and sell...thanks for all your help guys

Wayne....The scale length on every MSA ever made is 24 inches. |
