On Wed, my Grandfather passed away in his sleep, at the age of 104.

He was quite the guy, lived a honarable life, and will be missed by so many people.

Between the wars he was in the Navy
He spent time building battleships in Duluth.
In 1945 he moved his family (including my Dad) out to California.
He was a guard at Folsom Prison for decades, they called him "Rudy"
Had a part in the 1951 movie "Behind the Walls of Folsom Prison" playing a - you guessed it, a guard. My Dad had told me that the one day of filming paid him more than his monthly check from the prison....
That was the movied that influenced Johnny Cash to writte Folsom Prison Blues... speaking of Johnny Cash, he met him when he played the prison, I remember seeing the album that Johnny signed for him.

What a guy, forever the favorite of the ladies, he will be missed by so many of us.

Rest in peace Grandpa, you had a good ride.

The local news showed up on his 102nd birthday, he was more than willing to share his secret to longevity:
