I am trying to lighten my MSA Vintage XL D-10 steel since I am going to just used the C6 neck straight with no pedals.

So I am taking various unneeded parts off. My question is, how do you take the pedals off? Do you have to punch out the pin that runs through them or is there another way?

Thanks for the help.

The upper hole (that some folks move the pedal rod fitting to) has a set screw. It takes a SMALL Allen wrench, either 1/16 or 3/64 (I forget which). Back the set screw out, and you can drive out the pin/axle.

Thanks for the quick response. I had tried that hole before, but I think my Allen wrench was way too big. Will try it again with a smaller one and report my results.

Lane is right on. There is a set screw deep in the top hole of the pedal.
