I have for sale an early 1980's MSA Vintage XL D10. I acquired this guitar from fellow forum member Paul Wade. It is listed previously "as for sale" in a prior post and pictures can be seen. Shortly after receipt, the guitar was sent to Bud Carter for an undercarriage "work-over". It is an 8 & 5, will all knees operating on both necks. Bud installed Geo L pickups and a selector switch. I might add, as expected, that he did a great job! The guitar is in great shape both cosmetically and technically. It includes the MSA tray-type case. Any interested individuals, please shoot me email. I would like to receive $1,875 plus shipping. A 3% fee going to the forum. Thanks Randall

Would this be the one??

If so, I have always lusted after this MSA (only in my heart, though). If this isn't the one, I'll be happy to delete the pictures.

Duncan- Sure appears to be! If not, it's it twin. When received, it had a Lawrence PU on front and an E66 on the back neck. I think that's the guitar. It's not only a beauty, but sounds and plays great! Thanks for your post. Randall

I thought so, Randall. I believe that I copied these pictures from a post when Paul was selling this beautiful MSA.
Best of luck on the sale.

Up! Will consider a partial trade for a 10 string non pedal console. Maybe a Carpsteel or Sierra, ,etc. or will consider an offer! Thanks

Steve- After thinking about your question...the vertical is not in the E9th mix!! Oops! To answer your question, the pedals are a standard Emmons setup. The knees are as follows: E9th neck basically a Sho-Bud setup, with a few exceptions.. LKL raises the E's on the E9th and lowers the A (the fourth string 1/2 tone)on the C6 neck, VKL lowers the 5 string a whole tone on the C6 neck only, LKR raises the 7th string and raises the 1 string both a whole tone on the E9 and raises the A (4 string on the C6th 1/2 tone)RKL lowers the E's on the E9th and lowers the C (3rd string on the C6 1/2 tone) RKR lowers the 2nd string on the E9th 1/2 and 1 whole with a split and lowers the 9th string 1/2 tone. It also raises the C (string 3 on the C6 1/2 tone) Pretty basic set up! Although loaded up, it plays very good and stays in tune. Thanks to Bud!

If you like MSA's, you will not find a nicer one this or a better guy to deal with.
