I'm looking online at a lap steel that has a Gibson P-13 pickup. Anyone have any experience with these pickups? Are they dark sounding like a P-90?

My prewar Kalamazoo KEH had a P-13 pickup that was much brighter than the P-90s on a blue Century 6.

I agree. Very clear and wonderful pickup. Wish I still had my silver tone with that pickup.

Kinda looks like the "Speed Bump" pickups on my favorite Kay! They sound great!
