I have both a Sho Bud Single Channel and a Sho Bud Christmas Tree amp, both with the original 2 prong ungrounded power plugs. Anybody had any experience with converting these to 3 prong grounded plugs? I know this is easy to do with some amps, but since these amps both have the polarity switching on-off switch I'm guessing to do this properly will entail a little more than just grounding the ground wire of the power cord to the amp chassis. I'm not intimidated to convert it myself, but I also don't want to do a amateur job on it or find myself encountering the legendary "death cap" in the process. Anybody had any experience with this conversion?
