Who played steel on Marty Stewart's 'Little Heartbreaker'? Whole tune kinda sounds like a Waylon song, so maybe it's Ralph Mooney? (Dang internet music files never show who's playing and who the writers were. Remember the days when 45's had the writers name under the artists name and albums gave credit to the backup musicians?) Anyway, I like the style so am wondering who played it.
Thanks, Larry

That song was co-written by Marty and Ralph Mooney, I'm guessing it must be Moon on steel too. I believe that album was his last recording.

If Ralph helped write it, it was probably him playing. The album it's off of, "Ghost Train The Studio B Sessions", shows a whole bunch of steelers according to Allmusic:

Gary Carter
Ralph Mooney
Fred Newell
Kayton Roberts
Robby Turner
Tommy White

Take your pick! Laughing
