Hi Everyone,
I have an opportunity that is very tempting so I must part with my G2 Mullen to get the funds.
It was built in late 09 and is a D-10 with 8 and 6. There are no levers for the C6 and the left knee has 2 lkl's which are staggered. Comes with Alumitone pickups.
The Guitar has great action and sustain. The guitar has a tone control built in which I have never used as the bypass mode is so good sounding.
Asking 4500 plus shipping. Grandson not included. 
NEW PRICE 4400 plus shipping.

Hi Mark,
Not to hijack your beautiful G2 but you were going to give me you ideas and comparisons between the Show-Pro and the G2. I responded a couple times but don't know if you got them. I would be very interested in your comparisons.......thanks.......clark

Hi Mark (and anyone else with some .02 to toss in)
I'm a semi-retired 'newbie' learning to play PSG after 45+ years as a 6-string picker. I'm trying to sort out the plusses and minuses of various PSG mechanisms because I'm really interested in eventually building a PSG.
Mullen seems to be the only (?) company that bends its cross-rods to conform to the body offset on its double-neck guitars. There must be some benefit or they wouldn't do it - but it must introduce at least some extra movement in rest of the action - is that something you can feel when playing - or is it insignificant? Any other thoughts about their mechanism? Thanks for your time - appreciate it!

Ever since the Royal Precision came out in '99 it incorporated 2 changers of the same size, which could be used on either neck. The endplates where changed to allow for the 1/4" difference of the 2 necks. So with that, you have 2 changers, same changer, but one (the E9th) is set further towards the top of the guitar than the c6th, there is 1/4" difference. The cross rods however do not follow this 1/4" offset. The cross rod is straight. So that means a rod on the C6th in the same hole in the changer and bellcrank would be straight, now the same rod in the same locations on the E9th, the rod angles towards the top of the guitar due to the difference in the mounting location.
Now on the G2, the design or question was how do we get the rods straight on both necks without going back to manufacturing 2 different changers (such as the original or HWP Mullen). The answer was we needed a crossrod that would bring the E9th side closer to the top of the guitar. Therefore the bent idea was formed. It did not start out as the way it ended up, it was at one time going to be 2 pieces that bolted together, after long hard work by Del he found a way to bend a cross rod and still make it operate for the function needed. It was perfect and there are some other advantages to this design that I won't get into now.
So is it cheaper than the Royal Precision way? No. Is it cheaper than 2 different changers? Not really, but this is the design that best suited the G2 and it is here to stay. |

Beautiful guitar Mark. I've played alot of guitars over the years and IMHO, There is no better pedal steel than the Mullen G2. I own 2. I will also say the Mullen Royal Precision ranks in my top two picks. They really are precision built and built to last.

I'm played different guitars through the years and I play now a for a couple years a G2.
Indeed it,s the best guitar I ever played. It plays so smooth and the sound is amazing.
The only positive critic what I will say is:
Maybe its possible to make small blocks in the Mullen case so the keytuners will not touch the bottum of the case like the Emmons case has. It will be protect also the keytuners for braking at transport sometimes and the guitar stays easier in tune.
Thanks to the Mullen family for making a great guitar I own. I love it.
