I have an old BOSS multi track digital recorder that I use all the time to learn tunes and licks..it uses SmatMedia cards for storage...SM cards are now quite rare and expensive...I found a 'converter' card ($5.99 from China) that was supposed to allow use of a XD card - plugged into an SmartCard adaptor -

BOSS says 'No Card'...any one else tried to work with one of these?

I have not personally tried one of these. I would be making a guess and say it may be a card size issue.

If the machine was programmed to accept let's say up to a 2GB SMC card and you're using a 32GB XD card the machine will not recognize it.

Have you tried reformatting the card? Some XD cards don't come with a file system that older devices can recognize. I'd try formatting it to Fat 32 on my PC...if it isn't already.

Olin is correct, but when the 64Gb XD cards first came out, the Android devices wouldn't recognize them (same message), and users were upset. But once one re-formats them to the Fat 32 file system, they work fine.

Might be worth a try in your case.
