My settings for 65 Twin Reverb:
Gain 3.2
Vol 10
Treb 4.0
Mid 4.2
Bass 4.5
Rev 1.8
Delay 2.5
Keep in mind that this is for a Fender 1000 with about 10k ohm single coil pickups, and going straight to the input from the volume pedal. Also, the delay and reverb have loads of flexibility. Each have 4 - 5 settings you can adjust. It took a lot of knob fiddling to get them how I like them. I find I like maximum dwell and decay on the reverb, and about 240 ms on the delay with 1 feedback.
I also have found that it's very hard to get steel friendly cleans from anything but the 65 Twin. But you can mix other amp cabinets with the Twin to get the flavor of those amps, and still keep it clean. I especially like the 65 Twin through a 57 Champ cabinet to get a C6 vintage tone without breaking up. You have to use the Fender FUSE software to change the cabinet.
My approach to the Mustang is not to try to nail a particular amp, but to use the flexibility to shape the best sound for my guitar. I am so satisfied with the tone I am getting - I can't imagine going back to my Twin Reverb or Standel Artist. |

Forgot to add - I do use a little of the compression as well. |

My 2 cents. I call this one "Mr. Nashville Steel".

another 2 cents. This one works great for that late to mid 60's Sonny Curtis or Stu Basore type of attack. Best to hang real low on the volume pedal and use for long sustain or more aggressive honky tonk sound. A cranked Fender Deluxe is the basic sound. I call it the "Steeluxe".

What kind of guitar do you play Daniel? Great idea with the screen shots! |

Hey Tim, do you mean actual instrument models or styles of music? |

The actual guitar model. I think it's helpful to know, when we're sharing settings. My settings for a Fender 1000 probably won't be much help to someone playing through a humbucking 23k ohm pickup, and vice versa. |

I have a G-Dec 30 which has all that FUSE stuff, I stick with the "Jazzmaster" for clean and the "Hot Rod Grit" for dirtier stuff. I use it as pretty much a monitor here, never gigged. The Jazzmaster is a model of Fender's super-clean 200 watt jazz amp, like a Polytone Godzilla or something. I don't know if they kept those with the Mustang, the G-Dec was like their prototype. |

Yep. I have a StageOne E9 with a humbucker that is pretty hot. Not sure if its 20K or 22K? Somewhere around there.
Thanks,

Hi David,
these are the basic amp models that most of the stock settings on the v2 Mustang III ,IV,V are based from with additional effects in places. There are also some presets based on "Preamp Studio Clean" setting which is a very flat eq and very clean. I was interested in the Fender Jazzmaster amplifier for some time, but couldn't find one to try out.
