One of the 4 sisters, complete with Kevin Hatton case. The case has a screw missing from one of the metal corner protectors that can probably be had cheap at any hardware store. Otherwise, it is also mint condition. I'm working on pictures. If you're interested, I should be able to send you some via email by Tuesday, April 8, 2014. My tech skills are low. But I'll try to get some posted here by April 9. My asking price is $900.00. However, I'm willing to entertain serious offers.

In the interest of selling this guitar, I have employed several avenues. One of them is to put it on consignment at a local shop called, Tall Toad. The phone number there is (707)765-6807. Ask for Chris. You can also email them at cmiano70@yahoo.com. If you also let me know that you learned about it here on the forum, I will make the appropriate donation. I have had one offer so far that is within acceptable limits. So it may be sold shortly. Since it came in after I consigned it but before I got this notice up, I referred the person to the shop. Call me crazy, but I think everybody who puts forth an effort should get their cut.

I have the pictures available to send to you. But I'm having trouble with the tech skills needed to upload them. I'm working on it. Meanwhile, if you're interested, I can email them to you. Also, I do have to back off the mint condition. I had the guitar altered. There were string binders on the nut that interfered with playing in tune. I had them removed and put some mother of pearl buttons in their place. There is a close up of that part of the headstock. The case has a couple of minor blemishes. I don't think they showed up in the photo. They are difficult to see.

Thanks for uploading my pictures, Nick. I hope you didn't get 10 emails of this stuff. I've been having trouble with outbound email as well. It may be best to contact me via PM here on the forum. My computer will soon be for sale as well. But that is a subject for another post.

I made 4 of these instruments from Dense Maranti Mahogany It has BWB Dress stripes and a Tortoise Binding.
If I remember correctly , those all had Silver/Nickel Fret Lines other wise White lines - either way the fret board is precision milled 22.5 scale -- all tedious to install and very expensive raw materials.

This instrument is high quality to add to any Family Estate.

My suggested current Value for the instrument alone is 2000.00 USD Date and Signature add to the Collect-ability too.

Someone is going to get an amazing Deal. Cool

Thanks, George. No insult intended to your excellent handiwork. I'm unloading all my electric guitars these days. I'm only finding a use for my acoustic/resonator guitars these days. And I'm also finding that I very much prefer playing them. I want all my electrics to go to homes where they will be played and appreciated. I know that not many people are able to shell out the $1,800.00 I would have preferred to ask for it. This is the last of my lap steels.

This is a literal steal for a Custom GeorgeBoard with upgraded woods, binding , and a case! I would jump on this, but my bride let me buy a Grizzly Bandsaw recently , and I am cash poor . Best of luck with your sale , I'm sure loving mine !

What is the string spacing at nut and bridge? Also, what pickup did George use on this one?

I should have done more to bring everybody's attention to the situation. But I edited my original post above as follows:

__________So all inquiries should go to the above music store. Sorry for my clumsiness. I'm new at this selling guitars stuff. I've sold a few to acquaintances. But never this way before.

I am no longer interested. If you are in fact the owner of this guitar and cannot or will not answer a couple of simple questions about the instrument, I'll pass. Besides that, I prefer to buy from the actual guitar owner, not from some consignment shop. Thanks anyway.

Thanks, Gerry. I'm in the process of selling all of my electric guitars. I am interested in pursuing all avenues that might result in quick and easy sales, which is why I opted for BOTH consignment AND forum add in this case. It is the easiest way for me. But if potential buyers are going to be turned off, I may abandon one or the other of the methods.

But you will not sell through the Forum, only through your consignment shop. It is not unusual for someone to place a classified ad on the SGF and explain that the item is also subject to prior sale elsewhere. I may have missed it, but I have not seen anyone post a classified ad on the Forum and refusing to sell the listed item through the Forum. Anyway, good luck in selling the guitar through your consignment shop.

Although I have not got final confirmation yet, it looks like the add on the forum has resulted in a sale through the consignment shop. So I will be paying the consignment fee as well as the donation to the forum. What's important to me is that this excellent guitar has a good home and I got some income. I understand that some people have a problem with me not being able to answer questions directly once I have consigned the instrument. But as far as my first experiment goes, this method seems like a winner. Will probably try another soon.
