Robert, since the Bill Mize record was released on Columbia Records in the mid sixties, I wonder if all their Country recordings where made on the West Coast at the time?
I've just bought one by Carl and Pearl Butler, produced by Don Law and Frank Jones, and I wonder where it was recorded. _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

Is that Johnny Depp on the far left? If so, he's older than I thought..
One other thing I've always found amusing, why do musicians feel compelled to hold a chord, etc. when a picture is taken? |

Joachim - It looks like the all Columbia's were cut in Nashville at Bradley's starting 25 August 1965. Up to then - everything was cut in Hollywood on the following labels: Kord - Decca - Raven - Challenge - Cal's Corral - Liberty. Billy Mize is very much still with us and participated in the Country Music Hall of Fame's Bakersfield exhibit: "The Bakersfield Sound."

If Carl & Pearl Butler were produced by Don Law & Frank Jones - they were definitely cut in Nashville at Columbia. |
