Arthur,

1. Use an electronic tuner.

2. Pick string 6; and tune it temporarily to straight up 440.

3. Engage the A pedal. It will either stay dead on, be slightly flat OR be slightly sharp.

If it is dead on, move on to step 4. If it goes flat, reach UNDER the guitar and adjust the brass knurled tuner on the A pedal crossrod, UNTIL it is dead on.

IF it is sharp, adjust the tuner in the opposite direction. Note: In Both cases, an E-Bow is a God "send" in this application, sense it keeps the string sustained indefinitely.

4. Do the above with string 4, using the B pedal.

5. Do the above with string 6, using the C pedal.

In each case, adjust the brass knurled tuner under the guitar on THAT crossrod.

If you have the "counter force" on the C6 neck, (most don't) do the same thing on appropriate tuners on this neck.

When you get it right, retune your guitar. It rarely ever needs tuning once you get it right.

Questions, please ask dear friend,

c.

PS later, I will post a photo showing exactly where these gems are, IF I can find it. I have it somewhere. Promise

Ah! TWO threads on the same subject...

Very clearly stated, Carl - even I might have a go at it with the help of your explanation!
