I like it, Ville. You have attitude in your playing, which is a great characteristic. Keep it up, man!

Hi Steve, steelin' greetings!
yeah, exactly, a flatpick & two fingerpicks. For some reason I've never felt comfortable with a thumbpick..it's the same when I'm playing pedal & 8 string lap steel Smile

You have lots of great videos out there!

Wow, that was fun! Nice playing, Ville. A true vintage sound, and lots of energy in your playing. Your love for the music and the instrument is evident. Well done!

Ville, really great stuff! I like how much personality you have in your playing. In a world with umpteen versions of Sleepwalk, your touch, tone and attitude really stand out.

Great! The tuning on Secret Sunset is E6: E C# B G# E C# B G# from high to low. Yes, I also like that Fender sound:), and those Stringmasters are pretty easily converted for left-handed playing; just two extra routes for wiring and the guitar wasn't in mint condition when I bought it so I didn't feel so bad about the operation...

Thank you sir, I do appreciate your comment! I have your book "Lap steel guitar", learned a lot studying those past and present players and their tunings...when I bought my first 8-string instrument in Helsinki, Finland (a Fender Japan replica of a Stringmaster)years back, I had no idea how to tune the thing and neither had the guys in the shop:)!
It means a lot for me, you and the other gentlemen on these pages having time to check out our doings:), would be great to take part on some festival or event in the States sometimes!

I agree with the others -- GREAT STUFF! I also want to second what Mike Neer said. Your playing has 'attitude' and it really shows.

Excellent work. Would love to see you play here in America sometime!

Hi TJ, thank you! Sure, I'd love to visit your country-with my band or alone-and play my bit and jam, it's always a question of contacts and economical arrangements:)...if you know anybody I could approach in this matter then just let me know:)!

Thanks again & keep on steelin'!!
