Jim tackled the job of adding knee levers to my Fender 2000. If you are considering having your Fender retrofitted you can see his work below. Thanks to Jim for all of his coaching and flexibility.

Ken it is currently E9/C6 but I'm going to experiment with it. Pretty easy to do on these. _________________ RETIRED

Thanks for the kudos Marty. The final result was about the 7th iteration of the project as I kept finding things I didn't like about the previous version so changes had to happen . It ended up being Jim vs the 2000~ |

Jim. I really appreciate all of your efforts. I know it was a challenge. I still have the string of emails....lol.
My first steel was a Fender 400 when I was 12. Nearly 40 years later you're helping me to enjoy the nostalgia of having a similar guitar to play on. I'll use it this weekend and I intend to use it on one my Tracy Byrd shows. When I do I'll post a video. Thanks again!! _________________ RETIRED

Nice job Jim!
I saw and played this Steel at Jim's shop during iteration 5 or 6.
The day I was there Ronnie Miller was showing us how to play "Spinning Wheel" on it.
I see the location of RKL/RKR ended up over the typical volume pedal location.
It looks like that came out great, Jim.
I thought it played and sounded great.
Good Steelin' to you, Marty!
