I recently purchased a Rickenbacher B-6, I think it's dated around 1948, it has the smaller size horseshoe pickup 1 1/4". The electronics look orginal however if I wanted to replace the electronics where can get information on the capacitor range,I can't make out the writing on the oil capacitor here in the picture. And do are these 250k or .0500K pots?

Much appreciated!

Exactly what Bud said and if they' re noisy or scratchy, I would attempt to clean them. You will be hard pressed to find an original replacement wax type cap. I have been looking for a couple Mallory's to get my 6/7 string Gibsons back to original.

Oscar - This past winter, I finally replaced the volume pot on my 1940 model 59 lap steel. We tried cleaning it, did not work, really scratchy, volume would go up & down, it was time. Took the pot to a local electronics guy, he knew the right specs from the # on the pot.
So, I went to ebay and found a NOS allen bradly pot. It was time.
Cheers!

Bud, When the time comes,I'll probably do the same with my local repair shop that I've taken my instruments to. Thankyou,
Oscar
